Unveiling the Pinnacle of Luxury and Performance: The New Bentley Continental GT Speed
Published: July 1, 2024
On June 25th, Bentley Houston and the automotive world witnessed the arrival of a true masterpiece, the new 2025 Bentley Continental GT Speed. Combining breathtaking performance with unparalleled luxury, this latest offering from Bentley redefines the boundaries of grand touring.
A comprehensive redesign of both the exterior and interior, featuring clean and modern detailing, aligns with the new design DNA established by the coachbuilt Bentley Bacalar and Batur. Exceptional performance is delivered by an all-new Ultra Performance Hybrid powertrain, generating 782 PS and 1,000 Nm from a 4.0-litre V8 paired with a 190 PS electric motor. This combination allows the car to accelerate from 0 to 60 mph in just 3.1 seconds, offers a usable electric-only range of 50 miles (81 km) on the EU drive cycle, and provides a total range of 534 miles (859 km), making it an everyday supercar.
The powertrain's performance is complemented by a new chassis system featuring two-chamber air springs, dual-valve dampers, Bentley Dynamic Ride (48V active anti-roll control), eLSD, and torque vectoring. This results in incredible body control and the best Continental GT ride comfort to date, supported by a 49:51 rear-biased weight distribution for the first time in the car’s history.
Under the surface, a suite of modern innovative technology ensures class-leading capability, making every journey seamless with advanced driver assistance, infotainment systems, and connected car services.
The new exterior marks a design revolution for Bentley’s future, featuring the most significant update to the Continental GT's face in two decades and being the first mainstream Bentley with single headlamps since the 1950s. Inside, Bentley continues to lead in interior cabin design, materials, quality, and craftsmanship, introducing new wellness seat technology, air ionization, three-dimensional leather textures, modern quilting, and technical finishes such as dark chrome.
A completely new 400-volt electrical architecture enables the most advanced suite of powertrain technology ever offered by a luxury automotive brand, achieving emissions of just 29 g/km of CO2 and an electric range of 50 miles (81 km) on the WLTP drive cycle.
For the first time in the history of the Continental GT, the convertible Continental GTC is being launched concurrently with the coupe, providing ultimate flexibility for customers who appreciate both open-top and closed-roof motoring.
Both coupe and convertible models will be crafted entirely by hand at Bentley’s Dream Factory in Crewe, England. Production and deliveries are set to begin in Q3.
